The War of The Worlds, Outer and Inner; New Moon in Aries Squaring Pluto in Capricorn, 7 April 2016

Some like it hot

The New Moon, today, in Aries (male, fiery, hot headed, two edged sword of magic lore that cuts both ways) squares with Pluto (death, transformation, rebirth).

A very tense/emotional situation may come to an an end, transform or be born – or if you’ve been ignoring it – may blow like a volcano. It may feel good or the opposite BUT it will be hot!

Revolutionary change is about to fire all of its guns – “at once and explode into space”.

Saturn is keeping a watchful eye on Mars to either curb or bring organisation to the ensuing chaos.

The important thing is to see what’s going on without over attaching emotion to it – as best you can. Saturn, the Lord of Karma, will then step in quickly.

Avoid emotions getting the better of you. It may be difficult to distinguish the blow-torch of lust from love, revenge from justice, or anger from control – so be wary.

….And you have likewise others who consult
The filthy teaching of the phallic cult.
Reform, or I shall come to you with speed
And with my magic sword confute their creed.

Hear, ye who can, the words the Breath of Heaven
Is saying to the mystic Lodges seven.

The Conqueror I shall reward with food
Ambrosial, that his mind may be imbued
With deathless truth; and unto him, mine own,
I shall present a precious pearly stone.
And on the stone a sacred new name writ.
Known only unto him receiving it.

From The Message to the Hierarchy of Ares, who rules sternly with martial might,
from ‘holy’ Hellenic Fragments before they were translated by modern day religions for their own purposes.

Winter Solstice 2015

HengedThe seed dies into the ground. We see the sun rise and set at its deepest, most southerly point of the eliptic perspective we have of its journey around the heavens. But we forget…
Winter SolsticeIt’s we who move around the constant light of the sun. The sun never judges, nor does your heart; it shines love and light continuously.
Each day, the sun never rises or sets. It’s the earth that turns.

In three days time, on Christmas Day, the Belt of Orion points vertically downwards to Sirius, the brightest star in the heavens around which the sun itself travels.
Irions beltThe Belt’s three lights (or Magi) guided to the evening star in the east.
From our perspective, the sun starts its journey back North to the noon day light of the Summer Solistice that casts no shadow.
After 3 days the sun, resurrected, ascends its journey back to the light and will beckon the dormant seed to follow in its path.
Death precedes transformation and rebirth (born again?). Death is the duality of birth. Life is constant and eternal, it has no duality.

My Promise at Solstice

To the father sun, Helios
To the mother earth, Gaia
To the moon goddess and silvery queen of night, Selene
To the Lord of Karma and keeper of time, Chronos
To the protector in the sky, Zeus
To the wielder of the two edged sword of magic lore, who rules with martian might, Ares.
To the goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite
To He who holds the gold caduceus, Hermes

I pledge my commitment to journey back to the light.

Mindfulness – Wakening to the Framework of What-Is and What-Is-Not, The Law of Reversibility

(The Foreword to my forthcoming booklet, The Threefold Death – Mindfulness: Wakening to the Law of Reversibility)

Face Optical IllusionImage courtesy of interestingcreativedesigns

The Law of Reversibility

Situations (events and people) can affect your emotional state. The reverse holds true too; inducing that same emotional state will manifest those same events and people into your life.

Manifesting is not attracting. It’s creating something that’s already there, yet unseen, vibration. This is the paradox of duality. For ‘something’ to be present, ‘not-that-something’ also exists, at the same time. For example, when you ask someone to marry you, they may say, “yes” (success) or “no” (not-success). You know the shape of a building because the air around it is not-that-building.

So how can you apply this principle to life and death? Answer: it requires a fundamental reframe.

The opposite of death is not life, it is birth. Life is eternal.
Paraphrased from Eckhart Tolle

There is no such thing as death in the traditional sense of its definition. Upon death, the physical body returns to its constituent elements and consciousness leaves the body, unseen, reborn into the vibration it came from. Death and birth are coincidental. You give birth to new levels of consciousness in life by bringing death to, killing, those things that you allow to stop the birthing process. And…

You can only bring death to, or kill, that which you have power over (i.e. the properties of things you own or control): your personality, your feelings, your outlook – and how you perceive, and thus respond to, the information you amass through your five senses (sight, sound, touch, smell and taste). You do not have control over the events and people in your life – but you always have control over how you respond to them.

Author’s extract from Defrag your Soul: If you perceive life negatively for a few hours, people will think you’re in a mood. If your negativity lasts a few weeks, others may think that you’re depressed. If your negativity sustains over a longer term, others will define you as someone with a negative personality – or of a negative character.

Your outlook in life shapes your responses to its peaks, middles (“Glass half full, half empty?”) and troughs. Your sustained responses, define your character – and thus your destiny…

All that happens is the result of character; the only manner in which the destiny can be changed is to change the character … (and) can be markedly altered in any direction desired.
CC Zain

A deeper process of ‘personal alchemy’ is at work…

Strength of character comes not from a life of ease and tranquillity but from a life in which our hearts, minds and sometimes bodies are pitted against forces we do not understand.
Paraphrased from The Druid Plant Oracle, by Philip and Stephanie Carr-Gomm

Change in your consciousness is only brought about by changing your character; ergo, changes (preceded by deaths) to certain aspects of your personality and feelings, which in turn are shaped by the framework of how you perceive the information you gather through your five senses. Life, at some level, is thus about opening, as Aldous Huxley so eloquently puts it, the doors of perception AND shaping your character accordingly and consciously.

As you open the doors, you waken to the framework of what-is and what-is-not, the principles of spirit and matter, the Laws of the Light, the framework of truth borne of justice, just-is. It requires focus, imagination, faith in yourself, and a cleansing of the mind.

All whom I love I teach, but first confute,
Thus from their minds all errors to uproot.
For truth by biased minds is ne’er divined,
Therefore seek wisdom, but first cleanse the mind.

(
From Message to the Hierarchy of Selene, from The Restored New Testament: The Hellenic Fragments…, by James Morgan Pryse)

Otherwise you will not know clearly whether you will manifest what you want or its polar opposite, its duality…

The Paradox of Duality

To know love, for example, you need to know not-love. So learning not-love serves a purpose. You are indirectly learning about love. And you won’t experience love wholly until you complete your learning. Here lies the rub of duality. This is how life works.

3FD Paperback Cover

So…

Be clear that what you imagine will bring you what your soul seeks. And know that all the things you experience – that you don’t want – serve a purpose.

My forthcoming booklet describes three fundamental deaths (or reframes) to aspects of personality, feelings and perception of what-is and what-is-not  – or as the story of Merlin portrays, The Threefold Death.

These three reframes are fundamental to your wakening.

The War Between Not-love (Fear) and Love

A part-extract from my latest book: For The Love of Lilith & How to Put Love into Practice (and Non-attach Yourself to It), Quick Guides to Ancient Wisdom, No 1, Parts I & II

“In the beginning was the logos, borne of love, Lilithian Love”

Lilithian Love, that which created ‘what is’, the present tense was later split into duality; ‘what is not’, the past tense, born from the present tense, is created. The mythical love between Lilith and Adam is ‘what is’. Eve, the past tense, the etymological root of ‘evil’, replaced Lilith who (according which legend) was either cast out or escaped into the wilderness. The war between the past and present began.

lilith defeated.23.AD.10.2dfd

But which is Lilith?

Image from Voice of the Prophetic Blogspot

But the war that takes place around us mirrors the war within us – between the past and the present, between not-love (fear) and love.

Love is divine. All that is not divine is not love. Shame, anger, sadness and fear are not love, not divine, nor are they borne of love. They dwell in the past or future, not the now. They reside in the head not the heart. They exist to be released, not conquered or embraced. And when you release them, nothing holds you back from your journey beyond their illusory boundaries, to love, truth and oneness.

From my book, Defrag your Soul – define the word ‘divine’ as meaning ‘the highest spiritual influence of humankind’.

Love is Not-love Until… (A Magician I Should Turn To Be) – a slightly revised version of a previous meditation on unrequited love

Love is Not-love Until…

The battles I have fought to have you choose love.
I have mustered the elements in vain.
With swords, wands and wealth,
I hold out the chalice of love to seal our bond.
Yet I cannot enchant your will
To drink its golden promise.

Time after time, we kiss, we embrace, we fear, we part.
Later, we come together again.
Drawn like moths to the flames in one another’s hearts;
Again we kiss, we embrace, we fear…
The dark, a-void between us, too great to span.
I’ve stood close to its edge, too fearful to jump
Into the shadows where lies a monster,
Borne from an age gone by.
Resurrected within us, through childhood memories,
Too dark to look back on, too hurtful to recall.

The monster, from Past, feeds on our fears.
Our karmic pact to slay the beast remains incomplete.
And so the monster returns to Future
Which presents itself to us now.

At last, my soul cries “enough!”
I descend the depths where my light shines dimly.
I hope you’ll join me but I, resolved,
Commit to love you regardless.

I have wanted you, as I have wanted no other.
I have attracted you as I have attracted no other
I have repelled you, as I have repelled no other.
And…
I love you, as I have loved no other.

You love me, as you have loved no other.
And still…
We cannot be as one until the beast is slain

In the smoke below, the beast takes form.
In its gut burns anger.
Its throat chokes with fear.
In its head hangs shame
And in its heart festers hurt, a wound that will not heal.

I approach with sword and shield
And the beast is gone.
Again… and it is gone.
Again… and it is gone.
I wait silently.

Into the black I see a face, familiar.
I lay down my weapons of convention.
The billows part to reveal a mirror.
Before me stands Past;
A heavy yolk I have carried all my life.
Childhood grief pierces my heart.
As I lift the yolk to bear its weight,
All conflict unresolved wounds my body.
My mind panics. I want to cast off my mantle
And run away, like so many times before.
Yet I remain still and empty my mind.
I create a circle of light to protect me
And look to the Light within.

I see through Past’s deception;
To rob me of golden Future now,
The present moment eternal.
I stand on the shoreline of unconsciousness
I hear voices but no words of wisdom
I see with no eyes
I feel without touch.
The Light fills my body
The anger calms
The hurt heals
The shame lifts
I shine the light…
Towards the dark door to Future.
At which I hear ‘the knock’.
I am tempted to flee again,
Back from whence I came, to Past,
Who beckons me to turn back from what Future offers
Whilst my innermost fear locks the door tight.
Instead I choose courage.
To become fearless; I turn the lock
To greet the stranger without.

Before me stands an angel.
I bid her welcome.
She dines with me and I with her as…
She reveals the illusion of my fear.
I see all that remains incomplete;
Core beliefs I allow to deceive myself;
False assumptions that ward off love, not danger.
I feel a fool, pathetic.

The angel speaks.

“Acknowledge that Future reveals all that you do not love about yourself,
Given to it by Past.
Yet Future’s other gift is Present.
The gift to complete all that is incomplete.
Love is complete. All that is not complete, incomplete, is not Love.
Present is now. All that is not now is not present. It is illusion. It is not.
And yet you allow what is not to determine your path.
Instead choose what you want, ‘success’. Future will bring it to you after you have completed the incomplete; release the fears by which you shield yourself from ‘not-success’.)
Venture towards ‘success’ and ‘not-success’ together. Bid Future to bring you your fears. The Journey to Love requires that you release them.
Then let go of success and not-success; focus only on the Journey.
Practise love, self-love first, and thence for all.
Practise compassion, self-compassion first, and thence for all.
Practise patience, first with self, then others
Practise completeness, by releasing all fear from self.
As your fear of ‘not-success’ dispels then Future presents no more fear.
Not-success disappears, leaving only ‘success’.
You create success out of the nothingness of no fear.
This is how the Ancients practised magic.
A warrior is brave, fearless, prepared for battle.
A magician is wise, fearlessness, sees through the illusion of fears past; no need for bravery anymore.
Your purpose is to shine the Love; the Light that you, complete, are.
Trust yourself.
Trust the process (and you travel in wisdom)
That others cannot see yet.
Yet you see, become a seer,
Shine the light for others to see, for themselves.”

Our meal complete, the angel leaves.
I ascend from the (a)void and see you close, to its edge.
I make no motion to encourage you my love.
The choice to meet your angel is yours and yours alone.
And I shall love you regardless.

St Valentine’s Full Moon in Leo

Full moon

Tonight you have the opportunity to cross the bridge to your inner world and see your true emotions. Bathe in the essence of who you really are, knowing that the darkness contains nothing (to fear) but unlived possibilities. Only fear (= not-love) stops these possibilities from becoming a reality.
Shine light into the shadows (i.e. every time you sense fear).

Commit to the ‘Journey to Love’ without knowing where it will take you.
That upon which light shines becomes that light.

Paradise Is An Inside Job.

Fools ParadiseWho’s fooling whom?

Judge not the paradise of fools.
For their paradise is not yours.
Even if only a fool would find joy there.
Let them step naively (knavely).
Let your and their joy be one.

Full Moon in Gemini – 17 December 2013

Should I stay or should I go?

DSC05663

At about 9.36am GMT  there’s a full Moon in Gemini.

Reflect, especially over the last two weeks, on all the things over which you have mixed emotions, and in Gemini, leave you in two minds.

“The should I stay or should I go?” syndrome.

What does you heart feel?
What does your head say?

Bring them together. Allow them to meet at your throat chakra? Focus and you shall reveal what you fear about the situation. Release the fear and the answer will open up in front of you.

Magic is…

Fire heart…Something created out of nothing, the nothingness created from having no fear. When you release all your fear, all that remains is joy and wellbeing. Can there be anything more magical to life than feeling 100% well and happy?

The Game of Life

Extract from Quick Guide IV – A Scorecard that Accounts for Mindfulness in Business.

Adapted from Druid wisdom (ref: Light and Life, a series of booklets written by David Loxley, Chief Druid, The Druid Order, London).

Your purpose is more than to succeed. It is to learn and apply the wisdom needed to succeed.

Success is the goal, but life is the time and space that happens in between now and reaching that goal. You attract the future that comes towards you. The future presents you with what remains incomplete right now in your life. The future presents the present with the opportunity to learn about yourself, incomplete wisdom, and apply that wisdom – completeness.Should you complete what is incomplete, it travels into the past and need not return.

The Game of Life

The Game of Life was understood by the Egyptians from the Ancient Kingdom.

Whatever travels into the past that remains incomplete ‘returns to the future’. Whatever issues (i.e. unlearned or unapplied wisdom) that remain incomplete, be they business or personal, return again and again until you complete them.

When you start something, complete it.

Beowulf: Warrior, Magician & Therapist

Beowulf.firstpage

Written some 1500 years ago, by an anonymous bard, Beowulf tells the story of a gallant hero who travels north to Denmark to slay the swamp beast, Grendel.

(Image: first page of Beowulf manuscript)

Grendel would visit the local King Hrothgar’s castle and set about killing all whom it encountered, carrying severed limbs and bodies back to its lair at the bottom of a deep dark lake.

Beowulf slays Grendel. That night there is much merriment and feasting, Beowulf and his men retire to a far part of the castle.  A second creature enters the hall where many still celebrate. The creature, Grendel’s mother, the source of the problem, wreaks her revenge. Like Grendel, she retires to her lair and Beowulf sets off after her.

The presenting problem is never the real problem. The real problem lies behind all the presenting problems. When the real problem disappears, so do all of its presenting problems.

Beowulf approaches the edge of the lake. Below him in the deep dark abyss lies the beast in her lair. Before he descends there is great temptation to withhold and draw back but with courage – afforded by the finest sword, shield and armour – Beowulf steps forward and descends into the darkness, his darkness. Below, he and the beast engage in battle. He finds the magnificent sword, shield and armour – that protect him so well on the surface – serve no use in the darkness. Beowulf casts them off. He reveals his unprotected self, his complete vulnerability. Beowulf and the beast become one in combat and as they wrestle, Beowulf finds a luminous sword of light that hangs on the wall of the lair – a sword with which he slays the beast.

As Beowulf rises to the surface to reveal the beast’s head, he finds that the luminous sword dissolves. The luminous sword that worked in the darkness has no power in the known world. It leaves Beowulf unable to demonstrate its power. For others to understand the sword’s power, they must descend into darkness and find it for themselves. They must experience their own victory. They must choose courage.

We cannot stare at the sun in a noon-day cloudless sky.
Light cannot be seen in the light.
At midnight, the cloudless sky reveals infinity.
By clouds, I mean ‘clouds of emotion’ – shame, anger, sadness and fear.
Glory comes from our journey into the darkness.

2012 – The Return to Oneness

2012 BoliviaThe Return

“Enough! I’ve had enough of winning and losing.

I can only exert a limited amount of power.

I can only spend a limited amount of money.

I can only create so much suffering before I kill off those over whom I am victorious.

I can only suffer so much when I lose.

I have exhausted all the possibilities of winning and losing in the material world.

I now choose temperance.

I return to the harmony of opposites, the yin and yang, the will and imagination, to return to oneness.”

Your Inner Child Has a Message…..

By listening carefully to the voice of your inner child, you develop your intuition. You tune into its messages. Call it “intunition.” At the same time, you become aware of the feeling when you veer away from the child’s advice. You detune. You cease to trust yourself.
Self trust is the “engine oil” to give and receive the very best, to and from the world around you. Not-self trust means you give and receive second best at best. You undervalue yourself and your immense power.

Love your Bubble of Fear

Allow your fear into your consciousness. Place it in a bubble. Neither attempt to hold the bubble nor prod it. Let the bubble float freely. Surround the bubble skin with love. Be patient. Wait for love’s miraculous power of osmosis to weave its magic. The fear will wave farewell.

The Original Meaning of Valentine’s Day

The ancients celebrated Valentine’s Day to acknowledge the wakening of the seed in hu-man. Deep within the ground, unable to see the light (above the surface) ahead, surrounded in darkness, the seed commits to its journey to the light of summer.

Love Saves

Love saves.
Trouble haunts the head not the heart.
I acknowledge my love.
I let it be, unfettered.
I place my trust completely in it.
I let it shine,
Safely in my heart.

Epistle II, Extract by Alexander Pope

Thank you Clare Flourish for introducing this profound poem to me, about the nature of man. Image sourced from Lancashire University.

Know then thyself, presume not God to scan,
The proper study of mankind is Man.
Placed on this isthmus of a middle state,
A being darkly wise and rudely great:
With too much knowledge for the Sceptic side,
With too much weakness for the Stoic’s pride,
He hangs between, in doubt to act or rest;
In doubt to deem himself a God or Beast;
In doubt his mind or body to prefer;
Born but to die, and reas’ning but to err;
Alike in ignorance, his reason such,
Whether he thinks too little or too much;
Chaos of thought and passion, all confused;
Still by himself abused or disabused;
Created half to rise, and half to fall;
Great lord of all things, yet a prey to all;
Sole judge of truth, in endless error hurl’d;
The glory, jest, and riddle of the world!”

Of Winter Solstice

Winter Solstice at Newgrange

Cold and dark
the earth awaits new beginnings,
a world receptive and yielding
to the increasing light of day
as Mother Earth yearns
to fill her empty womb
with mistletoes’ fruitful seed.
A quickening in her belly reflects
the stirring of nature all around,
rebirth giving hope and joy.
We welcome and bless the cycle
of life to come……

Image sourced from Laura Knight-Jadczyk, Winter Solstice: From Chaos to Creation

Newgrange, a magical megalithic site in Ireland estimated to be older by centuries than Stonehenge, older than the Egyptian pyramids, was built to receive a shaft of sunlight deep into its central chamber at dawn on winter solstice. The light illuminates a stone basin below intricate carvings — spirals, eye shapes, solar discs. Although very little is known about how Newgrange was used by its builders, marking the solstice was obviously of tremendous spiritual import to them.
