The Law of Reversibility
Situations (events and people) can affect your emotional state. The reverse holds true too; inducing that same emotional state will manifest those same events and people into your life.
Manifesting is not attracting. It’s creating something that’s already there, yet unseen, vibration. This is the paradox of duality. For ‘something’ to be present, ‘not-that-something’ also exists, at the same time. For example, when you ask someone to marry you, they may say, “yes” (success) or “no” (not-success). You know the shape of a building because the air around it is not-that-building.
So how can you apply this principle to life and death? Answer: it requires a fundamental reframe.
The opposite of death is not life, it is birth. Life is eternal.
Paraphrased from Eckhart Tolle
There is no such thing as death in the traditional sense of its definition. Upon death, the physical body returns to its constituent elements and consciousness leaves the body, unseen, reborn into the vibration it came from. Death and birth are coincidental. You give birth to new levels of consciousness in life by bringing death to, killing, those things that you allow to stop the birthing process. And…
You can only bring death to, or kill, that which you have power over (i.e. the properties of things you own or control): your personality, your feelings, your outlook – and how you perceive, and thus respond to, the information you amass through your five senses (sight, sound, touch, smell and taste). You do not have control over the events and people in your life – but you always have control over how you respond to them.
Author’s extract from Defrag your Soul: If you perceive life negatively for a few hours, people will think you’re in a mood. If your negativity lasts a few weeks, others may think that you’re depressed. If your negativity sustains over a longer term, others will define you as someone with a negative personality – or of a negative character.
Your outlook in life shapes your responses to its peaks, middles (“Glass half full, half empty?”) and troughs. Your sustained responses, define your character – and thus your destiny…
All that happens is the result of character; the only manner in which the destiny can be changed is to change the character … (and) can be markedly altered in any direction desired.
A deeper process of ‘personal alchemy’ is at work…
Strength of character comes not from a life of ease and tranquillity but from a life in which our hearts, minds and sometimes bodies are pitted against forces we do not understand.
Paraphrased from The Druid Plant Oracle, by Philip and Stephanie Carr-Gomm
Change in your consciousness is only brought about by changing your character; ergo, changes (preceded by deaths) to certain aspects of your personality and feelings, which in turn are shaped by the framework of how you perceive the information you gather through your five senses. Life, at some level, is thus about opening, as Aldous Huxley so eloquently puts it, the doors of perception AND shaping your character accordingly and consciously.
As you open the doors, you waken to the framework of what-is and what-is-not, the principles of spirit and matter, the Laws of the Light, the framework of truth borne of justice, just-is. It requires focus, imagination, faith in yourself, and a cleansing of the mind.
“All whom I love I teach, but first confute,
Thus from their minds all errors to uproot.
For truth by biased minds is ne’er divined,
Therefore seek wisdom, but first cleanse the mind.”
(From Message to the Hierarchy of Selene, from The Restored New Testament: The Hellenic Fragments…, by James Morgan Pryse)
Otherwise you will not know clearly whether you will manifest what you want or its polar opposite, its duality…
The Paradox of Duality
To know love, for example, you need to know not-love. So learning not-love serves a purpose. You are indirectly learning about love. And you won’t experience love wholly until you complete your learning. Here lies the rub of duality. This is how life works.
Be clear that what you imagine will bring you what your soul seeks. And know that all the things you experience – that you don’t want – serve a purpose.
My forthcoming booklet describes three fundamental deaths (or reframes) to aspects of personality, feelings and perception of what-is and what-is-not – or as the story of Merlin portrays, The Threefold Death.
These three reframes are fundamental to your wakening.

Happen to the world rather than have the world happen to you.
Keep a log of your life’s little (and big ) coincidences. Reflect on the mindset you hold that invokes these coincidences.

Two days ago I was watching my favourite football team Newcastle United play Anzi. It was 0-0 with about a minute of normal time to go. I turned to the guy next to me and said, “It would be great if Cissé scored in the 2nd minute of extra time again” (as he’d done in Newcastle’s previous game, last Sunday against Stoke). Lo and behold, you know or can guess what happened next.
The same evening I was at a meeting where we discussed the ‘kill-all-bacteria’ panacea that hospitals deploy these days, rather than simply use hot soapy water and keep things clean. (Personally I’d rather learn to live with bacteria rather than encourage the mutation of the super-bugs we find in hospitals these days – but that’s another blog.)
Subsequently, the next morning, I was deep in thought about the Black Death plague that swept throughout Britain in 1348. (This was a time when people would deposit their chamberpots out of the bedroom window???) Ten minutes later I switched on the TV news to see that a mass grave full of Black Death victims had been unearthed during digging work on a new railway system in London.
I’ve experienced ‘coincidences’ regularly like these in recent years. So I’ve decided to keep a log of my (Law of Reversibility?) experiences and will keep you posted on what I learn. Please share with me what you learn should you choose to do this exercise.
It’s no coincidence that you’re reading this!

When our will and wishes become one
Posted by Doctapaul in Astrology, Personal, Pitfalls I've Fallen Into, Self Development, Soundbytes of Wisdom, Uncategorized, Visions and Dreams on October 25, 2011
If you were to ask yourself “In my heart of hearts, my very soul, what do I seek more than anything else in life?” Would you really know the answer? After years I’m still getting some semblance.
I had to evolve a very focused state to answer the question without my emotions, petty desires and false-ego getting in the way. Even then, I would question myself “Do I really mean this?” And when the answer is “yes,” there arrives a second question, “Do I have the will to go for it?”
Knowing what you want is one thing. Going for it, 100%, is another. It takes determination, resilience and above all courage.
“Courage is a decision, not a trait. We all have it. We don’t all choose it.”
We need to focus on the here and now, in the present tense, and choose courage.
The point, the present tense, no matter how short a space in time, is infinitely small. As soon as we’ve thought of “it,” an infinite number of moments have already passed by. “It”, is/was already the past tense. What if we were to experience “it” right now? No thought, only now, (an) eternity (of moment by moments), when the mind stills completely. We vibrate.
We project our latent desires and fears (desires to avoid things) out into the universe. We broadcast our vibration. We make our own law of attraction. We attempt to attract that which we wish for. But who is that makes the wish? Is it the real “I”? Or is it a supplication of the false ego, “me?”
Is it some external trophy: a partner, money, a job, health or safety from harm, I attach a state of increased happiness to? Will what I seek truly complete me? Or will its energy be subsumed by the unlit darkness of the shadows that lurks within? Is it to fill a dark void I feel inside myself, with the light of a false sun?
Or is my desire to find and become my true self and fulfil my contract (if I were to know it) for this life, in harmony or resonant with all that exists?
This, I suggest, is the true art or science of discernment. To discern my truth (that which takes me down the path I’ve contracted to follow) from false-egotistical fantasy.
When we will ourselves to take the path to our truth, passionately and genuinely, the universe resonates. We attract that which we seek, that which we wish for. Our will and wishes become one. But…
When we seek to placate our false ego, we deviate from our path. We allow the shadows to remain hidden. The universe responds. It disrupts our flow. It tells us there’s something we’ve chosen not to learn about ourselves. We ignore the glory to be found amongst our shadows. Consider the following symbolism.
Astrologers, ancient and modern, symbolise the sun in charts as a dot in a circle:
The dot (or point) symbolises the here and right now, the present tense. The universe/infinity is represented by the circle, a never ending stream of cycles in which we return continually to our starting place.
The point in (time) the centre of the circle thus represents the vibrations we send out into the universe. They are a product of all the information we possess (from the past) and its impression on our thoughts, words and deeds to create a better future, our will and our wishes. What returns to us in the future is a product of our will and wishes right now.
Imagine a pebble tossed into a circular pool, as an expression of what we will to happen. Everything we give birth to, all our thoughts, words spoken and deeds go out to the edge (of infinity) to return to us. On their return they meet the waves we project right now.
When the returning waves are coherent with those outgoing, we observe a series of standing waves. We experience our individual wave formation resonate coherently with the universe. We tune into the greater good.
This is not the end of the journey. It is a major milestone that tells us we’re well on our way. It’s important that we acknowledge ourselves.
Acknowledge = Accept + Congratulate + Reward + Consolidate Learning
We are not all equal in power and spiritual development. But we are all equal in honour. It’s important that we acknowledge our power humbly and we don’t over-laud ourselves. Our false ego reclaims lost darkness when we put ourselves above others who haven’t travelled this far.
Please note, our law for attraction is what we will to attract NOT what we wish to happen. Willpower takes courage. Wishing is a relatively simple task but care needs to be taken that what we wish for suits the passion for our life’s journey.

When the returning waves lack coherence, we create choppy waters. In extreme conditions we manifest dark stormy seas. Such is karma. It’s not about right or wrong. It’s feedback that tells us we’ve things to learn from the shadows within us still.
When the returning waves counter-balance the outgoing waves, the pool becomes still. We become equally knowledgeable with what goes on above the surface (the known world) and below, the unknown. We become one with all that is, non-duality. We live completely in the present tense, outside of time and space.
We discover that the opposite of life is not death, but not-life, an illusion. It doesn’t exist. Birth is the opposite of death. Life is eternal.
Derived from The Power of Now, Eckhart Tolle
- Take care and time to focus on that which you really wish for. Make sure it meets the following criteria:
- It is not borne out of anger, sadness, fear or guilt.
- It feels in line with your life’s journey, purpose and contract.
- When it is complete, it will give you a real sense of fulfillment.
- Is it ecological. Does it flow (give to and receive from) with nature and at very least does little harm to its balance.
- You feel passionate about the journey more than the outcome.
- Will yourself to make it happen. Choose courage. Choose providence.
- The universe will provide.

To really understand what the CEO and C level executive summarise as valuable and impactful, and in a condensed easy-to-digest format, is phenomenal. I find Paul C Burr's style of writing easier to digest and apply in any sales situation; it crystallises where the true business value add is delivered and how you really have strategic partnerships. "I would like to thank Paul for sharing his impressive skills and enabling me to finally connect, and disconnect, with the last thread of the old me. His etheric cleansing process is quick and easy and allows for instant access to the valuable information that empowers you to create the clearing and changes most required. I would recommend this process to absolutely anyone on a spiritual path and to individuals caught on the hamster wheel of life, where little progress is seen for the amount of effort put in. Paul's cleansing is precise and swiftly creates the shift you've battled to create for yourself."

“Paul, Thank you for your inspiring, in-depth and highly informative session last week, you taught me to unblock all my inner fears and to know why they were there in the first place. You are a calm influence, and it was your confidence which inspired me so much, as you are not at all egoistic in your guidance. You have shown me the side of myself I always wanted to greet, but didn’t believe was there.
You gave me the greatest gift I could ever have received which is to know my own being, and this is why I will always be grateful, and never forget our work last week. I now have found the path to not only happiness, but wisdom too. They say happy is the wise man, and I might add happy is this wise woman, through meeting a wise man, thank you again.”

Money barely represents what a single session is worth."
“I cannot echo enough what Naomi in Hove says ” Money barely represents what a single session is worth”. What you have done for me has literally changed my life with it’s amazing instant and personalised affect. My physical pain after one week of the session has been halved, so impressive that my Osteopath noticed it, my back less rigid for instance. And as for my formerly traumatic life, well now I understand my purpose, why things happened in childhood etc. I know feel like a sea bird observing its life, perched high on a cliff top, and like that bird, I feel that I have the entire navigational control of my life. For the first time I might add in forty two years so far! Thank you Paul, immensely,”
Emma Andrews – Brighton
"I would never have expected it but after 10 years of emotional dependence, I am now totally not bothered by it, this is amazing!”
“I already feel very differently. It can be hard to come to terms with change when it's not what you want, even though you know resistance is futile, but now I can see where I'm headed, it's easier to accept that the change is already in progress and that it's a good thing, thanks again.”

This review is from: Learn to Love & Be Loved in Return: Making Relationships Last (Paperback)
This is a book about much more than romantic relationships. It is written with wonderful honesty and sincerity about love, the breakdown of relationships and how we relate to one another. It is a book that provides great insights into our own behaviour, as well as how we relate to others. It immensely readable, and I'm finding myself dipping into it over and over again for the many ideas, exercises and insights within its covers. Highly recommended whether you are in a relationship, just starting one, or looking for a relationship that will last.
Paul’s engaging style and personable character perfectly suit professional coaching. I have completed a recent programme. My performance, at work, has gone from strength to strength. I am now equipped with the tools to take me to previously unimagined business heights. Thank you Paul!
Robert Syrad, Erevena, Executive Search Services
Paul’s genius for business coaching helped me get clarity on a number of issues very quickly. I trust Paul as my coach. I appreciate his honesty and business expertise. In particular, I really value Paul’s flexibility in stepping into the role of a mentor, when he can see the benefit of doing so.
Is there any point in me saying that Paul comes highly recommended?
